Sydney Airport released its preliminary draft Master Plan for public consultation on 27 August 2018.

Senate Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport Legislation Committee

The Senate Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport Legislation Committee held an inquiry into the Airports Amendment Bill 2018. The Bill was passed into law on 21 September 2018.

The draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for Western Sydney Airport (WSA) was finalised on 15 September 2016.

The Minister approved the Sydney Airport Master Plan 2013-2033 on 17 February 2014.

Senate Standing Committee on Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport's Inquiry into the Effectiveness of Airservices Australia's Management of Aircraft Noise

On 29 November 2009 the Senate Standing Committee on Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport announced an inquiry into the effectiveness of Airservices Australia's management of aircraft noise.

The Development of a National Aviation Policy Statement

SACF contributed to the development of national aviation policy through a submission to the Aviation Green Paper in 2008.

Infrastructure Australia

In August 2008, Infrastructure Australia issued a call for public and industry submissions on the infrastructure challenges facing Australia. Over 600 submissions were received and in May 2009, Infrastructure Australia published the report, National Infrastructure Priorities.

Sydney Airport Major Development Plan on the Runway End Safety Area (RESA) Construction

In March 2008 Sydney Airport prepared a Draft Major Development Plan (MDP), which described the works involved in constructing a Runway End Safety Area at the western end of the east-west runway.  It was approved and work was completed in 2010.
